Cavitex continued their dominance in the PBA 3×3 First Conference Season 3, as they defeated Pioneer Elastoseal in the Leg 5 title match to secure a back-to-back championship.
The Braves were in full control from the start of the final, leading by as many as 10 points in the first half. Jorey Napoles and Kenneth Ighalo led the way for Cavitex, scoring 7 points each.
Pioneer tried to mount a comeback in the second half, but Cavitex was too much to handle. The Braves held on for a 21-12 victory to claim their second straight leg title.
This is Cavitex’s third championship overall in the PBA 3×3 tournament. They also won the Leg 1 title in February.
Napoles and Ighalo were named the Finals MVP and the Best Scorer, respectively. Napoles scored a total of 14 points in the final, while Ighalo had 12.
In the battle for third place, Barangay Ginebra defeated Northport, 21-18. Donald Gumaru led Ginebra with 13 points.

The quarterfinals saw some close games, with Northport defeating Purefoods, 17-14; Cavitex outgunning Meralco, 16-14; Pioneer narrowly nosing out Blackwater, 14-12; and Barangay Ginebra having a close encounter with TNT, winning 17-15.
The next leg of the PBA 3×3 First Conference Season 3 will be held on August 5-6 at the Robinsons Place Manila.
